PSG's Kylian Mbappe has spoken up about his friendship with Lionel Messi and Neymar, insisting that there is no power struggle in Paris. Lionel Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer from Barcelona in the summer of 2021, intending to assist the club win their first Champions League title.
Lionel Messi hasn't exactly gotten off to a fast start at PSG, but the Argentine has already made history for the club in Paris. Lionel Messi became the first player to win the Ballon d'Or as a PSG player when he won it in late November. Kylian Mbappe came in ninth place in the Ballon d'Or voting, while Neymar came in 16th.
On the field, Lionel Messi remains a shell of his former Barcelona self. Messi has only scored four goals in 13 games for PSG, drawing criticism from some football fans. Fortunately, his poor performances have mostly been limited to Ligue 1, where PSG already has a significant lead at the top of the standings. Lionel Messi has been extremely productive in Europe, scoring three times in four games.
Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar are capable of breaking down any defence in the world, but it's easier said than done to play with superstars. Mbappe, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, claims he gets along well with his teammates and that all three are "game-changers" on their days.
According to Sputnik News, Mbappe said:
‘’Right now, I'm having a nice run, and the squad is performing well." We don't give a damn who the boss is. Because we're game-changers, the idea is to put all three of us in the appropriate situations. That's the way it's supposed to be."
Mbappe has nine goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season, making him PSG's top scorer.
Lionel Messi, according to Luis Suarez, is struggling at PSG.
Luis Suarez, the man who awarded Lionel Messi his seventh Ballon d'Or in November, has alleged that the Argentine is having difficulties at PSG. Messi interacts with Suarez on a regular basis and has reportedly acknowledged to having trouble playing in the snow.
Messi and Suarez, who played for Barcelona from 2014 to 2020, have always had a particular bond both on and off the field.
